Westlake at ChinaPlas 2024

In April, four Westlake business units participated at ChinaPlas 2024, a globally important Chinese trade show, for the first time, which was held in Shanghai, China.

During our time at the trade show, Westlake Global Compounds introduced new customized PVC compounds that include mechanically recycled content and bio-based content to meet customers’ sustainability goals.

Westlake Huasu focused on PVC with higher K-value and PVC film at the show. The innovative high K-value products are specially used for medical applications like dialysis products, blood bags, breathing balls, and high rebound pump tubes, but also for building and construction as well as in vehicles.

Westlake Vinnolit promoted the lower-carbon PVC product line GreenVin®. Showcasing our efforts to help our customers to achieve their own sustainability goals.

Westlake Polyethylene showcased its expansion to a more sustainable Polyethylene portfolio with the PIVOTAL® and STEPUP® product lines to allow the incorporation of recyclates while maintaining product performance.

As a highlight at the tradeshow, Renee Havrilla, VP – Westlake Global Compounds, and Yaoming Li, SVP – Operations, Huasu, were interviewed by the trade show’s own broadcast team about our booth at ChinaPlas 2024. Please find the interview here.
